New Course Plan
A new course plan is now required for students admitted starting with the Fall 2006 semester. Students admitted prior to Fall 2006 may move to the new course plan or remain on their existing course plan.
In summary, the changes include:
- CMPE 272 replaces ISE 201 as a degree core course
- All specializations now have two specialization core courses
- All specializations allow three elective classes
Note that students are still required to meet the mathematics requirement satisfied through taking ISE 201, waiving ISE 201, or taking a combination of undergraduate math courses. In general, students from computer related backgrounds (such as Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, and Computer Science) have sufficient math to meet the requirement.
