Overview
The
College of Engineering, in cooperation with
the College of Business, offers Dual Degree programs
that result in both an MBA and an MS Software Engineering degree. The programs
are offered as a cohort where all students take the
same classes on an accelerated schedule that is tailored
to the working student.
The
dual-degree program is available to students who prefer
an accelerated "executive" style of learning
at a SJSU off-campus location or at your company's location.
Each three-unit class is eight-weeks, meeting one evening
per week (for 3.5 hours) and two Saturday meetings.
Classes are delivered year-round in three 16-week trimesters,
with two sessions held each trimester. This format allows
students to complete six courses per year. Applications
are now being accepted for Cohort 12 which will start

The accelerated format allows a student to complete
the degree in less time than the semester format used
in our traditional on-campus programs. If all foundation
requirements have been satisfied, students can complete
the accelerated program in 32 months.
In addition, many students find the accelerated program
more convenient for their jobs or personal life because
courses are held at our off-campus location.
